Don't go here if you're in a hurry, because the service is painstakingly slow. HOWEVER, the food is great. I got the chicken tenders with some fries. The chicken was extremely juicy, and the fries were amaze-balls. I appreciated being asked if everything was "okay" by a lady that was walking around cleaning tables. She seemed like she was having a rough day, though. :-( If the service was a little bit faster, I'd give this shin-dig five stars.

I'm done with popeye's. I realize that this is a fast food restaurant, but they have the worst service I've ever experienced. I've been to the muskegon location 6 times and each one was worse than the last. My last experience I ordered popcorn chicken and after I paid the employees made me wait for a half an hour. By the time I got the food the workers had let eight other customers through and mychicken was a box of fried batter with no chicken. They tell me and my wife they are out things every time we have gone. This place is a HUGE disappointment and u have never had such bad service.

Love Popeye's at most every other location we've visited. Couldn't wait for them to open the Muskegon location. It is very apparent that the people running this store don't give a hoot if their customers are happy or not. Facebook comments on the Best Places to Eat in Muskegon are not good. The store is doomed for premature failure unless someone starts paying attention. Comments include cold food, out of items that are on the menu, rude employees and not acceptable housekeeping conditions. Wake up Popeye or shut and lock the door.

Just not very good. My food was cold the first time I went but I let that go because they were new to Muskegon and busy. So I went back a second time. They were out of shrimp when I went the next time so I got the po boy sandwich which was alright but the chicken was mostly the hard crunchy breading with no meat and of course...cold fries. Then today I got shrimp with Mac n cheese and lemonade because they didn't have any pop for some reason which was fine. While the shrimp was pretty good, the mac n cheese was very bland. Won't be going back any time soon.

Love love love Popeyes. Been having this for years in other places so I'm glad they brought it to Muskegon. It's my favorite of all the fried chicken places. Definitely worth a try of you're a fried chicken fan.
